The Corner Piece: A Novel
|
This project involved researching, brainstorming, writing, and editing a completed 62,000 word novel in 3 short months. I chose to write about star- crossed lovers in a culture much different from my own-- the Amish culture. Because I chose to do this, my extensive research on the topic gave me insight into the ways of the Amish as I incorporated their traditions and ways of life into my style of writing. Not only that, but I gained experience about what it means to complete an entire novel in such a short period of time; this allowed my writing to blossom and my style to expand to new horizons.
